Respecting your Privacy, Dignity and Confidentiality
1. Staff will at all times be sensitive to your rights to privacy.
2. Conversations held with you will be considered private.
3. Information will only be passed on or discussed with others if you give permission for it
4. You will be told of any files we have about you, and you will have full access to your file.
5. All files and records will be kept in a locked filing cabinet when not in use. Electronic files and records will be password protected.
6. Written information from your file will only be given to another person with your permission.
7. Files will generally be kept for 7 years after the last contact, and then destroyed by shredding.
8. We will seek your permission before using general information/data about you for case study purposes. All identification will be removed.
