Action for Community Living

Core Values Statement

Action for Community Living and its auspiced projects aim to assist in the creation of a society where all people feel valued, their differences are respected, their basic human rights are upheld and needs are met.

The work of Action for Community Living is driven by passion to champion the rights of people with disabilities. 

We believe our actions speak for us. Therefore:

  • Action for Community Living will model a positive attitude towards all people and respect for diversity in order to promote a more cohesive and inclusive community.

  • Action for Community Living, in all of its activities and particularly its communications with the public, will accord due respect to the dignity, values, history and culture of the people with disabilities with whom it works.

  • In all our work we will demonstrate rigour, transparency, accountability and decisiveness.

  • Action for Community Living will engage positively and strive to develop constructive and collaborative relationships with all stakeholders.

  • Action for Community Living expects all paid staff and people working with us in a voluntary capacity to observe high ethical standards that comply with the internal code of practice / conduct of the conduct.
